Enjoy creating art out-doors for three weeks in June. Plein-air painting began in the mid-1800’s during the Impressionist Movement in France. Since then, artists have carted their supplies outside to work directly ‘from’ nature while being ‘in’ nature. Pastels are a perfect medium for such excursions. The pastel painting group will meet at the Art Center at 5:45 p.m. and then caravan to Bacon Creek Park. In addition to your regular supplies, be sure to bring a folding chair and a drawing board. Should it be raining on any of these evenings, the class will work in the studio at the Art Center. Deb suggests you bring a camera to photograph your selected scene from the park in order to complete your piece at a later time.
